A Bird’s Eye View: Community Art Showcase | Owl Edition 2026

What Is A Bird’s Eye View?
A Bird’s Eye View is our first annual community art fundraiser celebrating creativity, sustainability, and local connection. Original owl sculptures created by local artists and business teams, displayed at Cape Coral re:MADE for public viewing and voting, and then auctioned to raise funds for Cape Coral re:MADE’s nonprofit programs.

Bird’s Eye View: Owl Edition 2026 Recap

Cape Coral re:MADE’s first Owl Edition didn’t just come together—it grew.

It started in conversations, in the store, during classes, and through people sharing ideas. One owl became several. A giveaway owl created by Nan brought even more people into the story. Sponsors stepped in. Posts and videos began circulating. Little by little, momentum built.

By the time the auction opened online, there was already energy around it.

Each owl carried its own personality—made from repurposed materials, shaped by different hands, and connected to the people who created them. As the bids started coming in, it became clear this was more than just an auction. People were paying attention. They were choosing favorites. They were coming back to see what changed.

And then the experience shifted into something shared.

At BARunch, the night took on a different kind of life. People walked between the event and the store next door. Conversations happened around the tables. Some came for the experience, some came to support, and some came determined not to leave without a specific owl.

There was food, a cash bar, the raffle for the owl bench, and a steady rhythm of people checking bids, stepping back, then coming in again for one more look.

That moment—when someone decides it matters enough to raise their bid—is really what this event is about.
Because underneath all of it, this isn’t about owls.

It’s about people having a place to try something, to create something, to be part of something.

Everything that happened leading up to the event—and everything that happened that night—was built by people who chose to show up. Leadership, volunteers, creators, supporters. Each one adding something to what Cape Coral re:MADE is becoming.

This event was also strengthened by the support of local partners who stepped in and said yes—John Michael’s Diamond and Jewelry Studio, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts, Razzle Dazzle, Thrive on Purpose, and MSHS/Pacific Power Group—along with the incredible artists, volunteers, directors, and board members of Cape Coral re:MADE.

And a special thank you to BARunch for hosting the evening and for the delicious food that helped make the night feel welcoming and complete.

The result was more than a single evening.

It showed what can happen when a community leans in—when people connect around creativity, purpose, and opportunity. It created energy, new relationships, and a shared experience that people want to be part of again.

Bird’s Eye View is just beginning. What started with the Owl Edition will continue to evolve—each year taking on a new form, a new theme, and new ways for people to participate, while keeping the same heart behind it.

We’ll take what we learned, refine it, and continue building something that grows with the community.

If you were part of this one--thank you.

If you missed it—there will be another opportunity.
